Your payslip.
Checked. Automatically.
FIFO pay stacks base, allowances, penalties, overtime and LAFHA under your EBA — a structure almost impossible to verify by eye. Muster compares each payslip to your signed contract, with the Award as a floor, and tells you plainly if something's short.

What a finding looks like
It states the fact — then drafts the email.
No jargon. No alarm. Muster describes a discrepancy as "worth a look", shows the dollar amount first, then the working and the exact contract term or Award clause behind it.
Example finding
"Worth a look — your contract says $45 travel allowance per swing, this payslip shows $0. That's $45 short for this swing. If the pattern continues, that's about $765 a year."
Illustrative only. Actual figures depend on your contract, roster pattern and the specific discrepancy. Travel allowance is not a default FIFO entitlement.

How it works
Set it up once. Every payslip after is automatic.
Upload your signed contract
PDF or a clear photo. Muster confirms your employer's signature is on it, then pulls out your base rate, allowances and terms for you to check.
Set your threshold
Flag anything over $2 by default — adjustable from $1 to $20. You decide what's worth surfacing, so there's no noise.
Add a payslip
Snap a photo, or let Muster pull it from your connected email. The extracted figures are always shown for you to confirm before the check runs.
Read the result
Muster compares the payslip to your contract with the Award as a floor, and surfaces any shortfall with the amount, the working, the source clause and a confidence level.
Raise it — your call
Send the pre-written email to payroll from your own account, use the FWO links, or just log it. Muster never sends mail on your behalf. You're always the actor.

Coverage
What it checks
Muster only flags amounts below your contract or the Award floor — because a payment above that is your agreed rate, not an error. Silence isn't treated as a discrepancy.
Rates & overtime
Ordinary hours, overtime at 1.5× and 2.0×, weekend and public-holiday penalties, and day/afternoon/night shift loadings.
Allowances
Site/industry all-purpose allowance, travel allowance and paid travel hours, meal allowances, LAFHA, and EBA extras like heat, dust, height, on-call and recall.
Super & leave
Superannuation at 12% of OTE (with a dedicated shortfall checker), leave loadings around 17.5%, and RDO accrual and payment.
Tax & sacrifice
PAYG tax withheld and salary-sacrifice handling under the post-2020 rule — super calculated on full pre-sacrifice OTE.
Framework conflicts
When your contract and the Award disagree, Muster shows both with the clause cited and says a decision is needed — it never picks a winner or cries "underpayment".
No payslip at all
Being paid with no payslip is itself a Fair Work Act breach — Muster surfaces that as critical, with the right escalation path ready.
At launch the checker works against the National Employment Standards, your Modern Award (Mining, Black Coal, Hydrocarbons, Offshore) and your individual signed contract. Structured EBA clause support arrives in Phase 2; EBA workers still get a full Award-floor and contract check.
Built to be right before it's built to be fast
We'd rather miss a finding than raise a false one.
Accuracy target on 100+ real payslips before public launch.
False positives on the validation set. We never cry wolf.
Ongoing false-positive rate target, monitored every 30 days.
By a qualified industrial-relations or payroll practitioner before launch.
Muster is on the worker's side and states facts — it never softens a finding to keep the peace with an employer, and it doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice. Under Australian Consumer Law we can't disclaim the checker's accuracy, and we don't try to.
Why it matters
Pay errors are common. Checking shouldn't be hard.
In 2023–24 the Fair Work Ombudsman recovered $473 million for around 160,000 workers — an average of about $2,956 each. Muster's job is simple: make the cost of checking trivial next to the cost of not checking.
