Privacy
Your data, in plain English.
Placeholder. This page summarises Muster's data principles for the design template. It is not the final privacy policy or terms of use — those will be prepared and reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch, aligned to the Australian Privacy Principles.
Where your data lives
All storage, processing and AI inference happen in Australia (AWS Sydney, with disaster recovery in Melbourne). Your most sensitive data — payslips, contracts, health and wearable data — never leaves the country.
How it's protected
Data is encrypted with AES-256, with additional field-level encryption on sensitive figures. Payslips sit in isolated storage. Your medical vault is locked behind your device biometrics.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share it with third parties — including for academic research.
- We don't share anything with your employer without your explicit, individual consent.
- We never send email from your account — you always send it yourself.
- We don't autosave anything found in your inbox — you confirm every item.
Your control
Connect and disconnect your email any time with a full audit log. Export all your account data as JSON and CSV. Delete your wellbeing data in one tap. Family connections can be paused or ended by either party, in one tap, with no silent revocation.
Wellbeing data
Fatigue scores, check-ins and any notes are private to you. They're never shared with family, crew, employers, advertisers or researchers, and never used to trigger an alert to anyone. Muster is not a crisis service — it signposts to Lifeline, MATES, Beyond Blue and others, and never replaces them.
A note on terms
Muster provides information and record-keeping tools. It doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice, and the tax feature is an AI Tax Lookup — it surfaces information, it isn't a tax agent. For personal tax advice, find a registered agent via the Tax Practitioners Board (tpb.gov.au) or the ATO (13 28 61).
The pay checker flags apparent discrepancies for you to raise; it doesn't determine your legal entitlements. We stand behind its accuracy and, consistent with the Australian Consumer Law, we don't attempt to disclaim it.
